Jamie L. Pronschinske, RDN, CD

Jamie Pronschinske received her Bachelor’s degree in dietetics from the University of Wisconsin- Stout before completing her dietetic internship through Western Kentucky University. She started her career as a registered dietitian (RDN) in weight management before joining the clinical nutrition team at Mayo Clinic Health System in La Crosse.  


Jamie enjoys working with patients with a variety of different medical conditions to help maximize their nutrition for a better quality of life. She sees patient as part of the Cardiac Rehab program where she assists them in adopting heart-healthy eating habits. She holds a Certificate of Training in Adult Weight Management and is also involved with Mayo Clinic Health System’s community outreach- promoting healthy eating through presentations, cooking demonstrations and recipe sampling with the goal of reducing instances of chronic diseases, like cardiovascular disease, in our community.

Lisa Klein

Lisa Klein began her journalism career at News 8 in December of 1997. She anchors News 8 at 5 and produces a weekly education series called Assignment: Education. She is also a contributor to the station’s News 8 Investigates franchise.

Lisa grew up in Racine, Wis., and received her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse. She is the mother of two daughters and a fur-baby named Wrigley. You can catch her family on the city’s bike trails, hiking in Hixon Forest or strolling through Riverside Park.

She is honored to have won multiple journalism awards from organizations including the Associated Press, Wisconsin Broadcasters Association and Northwest Broadcast News Association.
